以前は２級がマストみたいな雰囲気がありましたが、もはや２級ではありません。

The Rise of Vertical Farming

In recent years, as the global population continues to grow, traditional agriculture
faces significant challenges, including limited land and unpredictable weather
patterns. In response, vertical farming—the practice of growing crops in vertically
stacked layers, often indoors—has emerged as a promising solution. This method
allows for year-round production regardless of climate conditions, ensuring a stable
food supply.

Furthermore, vertical farming offers notable environmental benefits. Because these
farms are often located in urban areas, the distance food must be transported to
reach consumers is greatly reduced, leading to lower carbon emissions.
Additionally, these systems use advanced technology to recycle water, requiring up
to 95% less water than conventional farming.

However, there are still obstacles to the widespread adoption of this technology.
One major concern is the high energy consumption required to maintain artificial
lighting and temperature control systems. This can result in high operational costs
and, if the energy comes from fossil fuels, can negate some environmental
advantages. Moreover, the initial investment for the necessary technology and
infrastructure remains substantial, making it difficult for many farmers to start such
ventures.
